Makers
Makers are at the center of this whole operation. We need you to 3D print parts that we can assemble into masks.

IMPORTANT:
Because medical supplies are useless if they're not organized, please fill out the form linked below before you start printing. This way, we know how many masks we need to assemble and how many we can offer to hospitals. We'll also be able to contact you in order to coordinate the dropping off of masks and other logistics matters. Upon completion of the form, you'll see a link to the files you need to print. There are multiple options on how to print the components. Some involve stacking multiple parts on top of each other so you can leave your printer printing multiple parts overnight, others just print one part at once. You know your printer best, so just print what you know you can. Be aware that the files are not pre-sliced, so you'll have to slice them yourself.

Please print the parts in PETG, as other plastics won't stand up to the disinfecting process. If you don't have PETG on hand, Prusa is selling a special version of their Prusament PETG Orange at a 25% discount here. It's slightly lower quality than their regular filament in order to increase production speed, but it will work just fine for our purposes.

One more thing: you may think you can come up with a way to improve upon the current design, but please just print the file provided to you. You may be right—it may be possible to design these more efficiently—but a system has already been created for disinfecting and assembling the current design, so it really is simpler just to print the current design. Unless your issue is a matter of safety (in which case contact us here), just print the files.
